4th of July!

No, we didn't go see any fireworks or parades this year, but we still had fun! And we still had burgers (that's a very important part of the holiday)! I went down to Atlanta with Momma and Papa Beazer on Monday before the 4th, and Buddy drove down by himself on Friday after he was done with school. We had a fun filled week of swimming, playing in the park, yard work (not that I did any--other people did, though :) ) and Backyardigans. It's crazy how kids can watch the same thing over and over again. I bet that's how my mom felt when Julie and I would watch The Little Mermaid or Cinderella every day. Buddy has such a cute nephew and nieces, and "Baby Chase" got a ton of attention from his aunt and cousins. The poor little guy slept for so long after all that attention, but that meant more sleep for me!

Can you see him through the crowd of cousins? :) Little Lissie loved to stroke Chase on the head saying "sooooft, soooft." It's good that they taught her to be soft with babies, though her strokes would get a little less soft as she kept petting him... :)

Chase during one of his long naps!

Being held by Clayton, his only boy cousin!

Held by his cousin Kami. She loved "baby Chase" and would often ask about him, hold him, and talk to him. So cute!

We're thinking of having Chase call Papa Beazer Papahnwah :) we'll see how that goes.

Papa Beazer said he knew just Chase wanted all the time; a self-proclaimed Baby Whisperer. According to him, the best remedy for an unhappy Chase is a pillow and a Popsicle stick to hold in his pacifier. It did work for Papa Beazer, but we haven't done enough research to find out if those really are the key ingredients :)
